Choosing the right partner is the difference between delivering on-time and dropping the ball.
Finding a fabricator is the easy part. Finding the right fabrication partner for your business, however, can be difficult. No fabricator is created equal – each with their own unique portfolio and specialties. From capabilities to customer service, here are the top three factors to consider when choosing a metal fabrication company for your next big project.
Any fabricator you approach will host an array of laser and press brake technologies. So, you can consider those capabilities a wash or, the standard. What’s important taking a critical look at how the company is using their technologies in an innovative way to improve efficiencies and ultimately, your lead time. At Triton, we take a Minds + Machines® approach. Recently, Triton switched to cellular manufacturing and since then, we’ve succeeded in coupling multi-million dollar machines to efficiently produce a large mix of different parts at low volume, reducing our whip from 80,000 parts to 500 parts (40kits/week*100pcs*5machines*4weeks).
During a sales pitch be sure to look out for smart processes the fabricator uses that will ensure they’re prepared to meet the demands of your most complex projects. Because most fabricators are organized by process into common departments and not by cells, Triton has been able to set our production process apart by switching to a cellular approach. Since organizing our fabrication plant into cells, we’ve boasted an 80% reduction in our setup time, 30% overall improved productivity and a reduced lead time for four weeks to nine hours. Point-blank, the processes that your fabricator follows is the difference between getting your customer their product on time and dropping the ball.
Numbers speak for themselves, but do your core values align? Entering into contract is entering into a relationship, and it’s best to find yourself in a positive one. At Triton, we’ve found that having shared values is what turns a vendor into a partnership. We want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others – our customers, our fellow team members, and our community. We get fired up about opportunities to effect change, and we relish the opportunity to be a part of a bigger movement. Holding firm to a shared-value standard makes the partnership a win-win for you and your fabricator.
Our greater purpose is to make a meaningful difference in the lives and businesses we touch. When you have a job to do, we’re here to help you develop head-turning solutions. Together, we can make great things happen. Triton Class Service sets the bar in customer satisfaction. This means we’ve got your back.
Ever feel like you’re trying to solve a complex puzzle, but somehow, the pieces just don’t fit? We understand. At Triton Metal Products, we’re used to thinking outside the box – and we’re determined to help you find creative solutions that work. By the way: When it comes to quality and service, it’s not just about setting the bar…it’s about boldly leaping over it.
We push our machines to new heights, using every bell and whistle to your advantage. With tight positioning and repeatability tolerances, we can reduce production times and improve part quality.
When you need better solutions than what you’d get with traditional sawing and machining, tube lasers open the door to more sophisticated design and efficiency.
At Triton, we create welding fixtures in-house, making it possible to design pieces that align with our unique capabilities. We’re rather fond of pushing the envelope, and we know how to drive a project from start to finish. In the end, you enjoy streamlined efficiency and quick turnaround.
When production runs don’t justify robotic setups, we have the capacity to accommodate all of your manual welding needs. We have a Certified Weld Inspector on staff and a skilled team of welders that can masterfully handle any job.
At Triton, we improve efficiencies with expert in-house design-build capabilities. Our skilled team members adopt a shared vision, collaborating together at every stage of the process. And, with an expansive list of capabilities, we are equipped to handle the most complex projects.
We offer high-precision performance for all of your turning needs, including boring, threading, dual spindle, and live tooling.
We offer the creative flair you need to transform flat sheets of metal into three-dimensional masterpieces. By incorporating offline programming, back gauging, special padding and special templates, we have the ability to create tighter tolerance parts that meet – and exceed – your expectations.
Our Powder Coat line can accommodate large and small paint orders, providing a solid layer of protection for your parts. Plus, talk with us if you have any high-performance salt spray requirements, here at Triton, we’re pleased to offer a high level of salt spray testing.
Our edge rounding service is automatic and allows our powder coating finishes to adhere properly. This also improves salt spray test results and reduces unwanted returns. We’re able to smooth edges on both external and internal contours or remove oxide from the top and bottom of laser cut parts with our oxide removal machines. Or have us cut your part with nitrogen to eliminate the production of oxide altogether.
Yes, we buy in bulk. Many of our raw materials arrive in 24-foot lengths, but we easily cut them down to size in-house.
We can store your supply of parts and deliver them when you need them. No more cash-flow crunches or inventory-related headaches!
We will gladly assemble and deliver finished products right to your door. Now that’s service with a smile!
Once a customer, always a customer. Relationships with our clients tend to last a long time — and with good reason. We go out of our way to make sure you are happy. In fact, we like to think of ourselves as an extension of your team.
