Welder – Robot Operator

Job Description

  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, jacks, cranes, wedges, drift pins, mig welders, and hand tools.
  • Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using calipers, squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
  • Tack-weld fitted parts together.
  • Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Locate and mark workpiece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications.
  • Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as grinders, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.

Quality Coordinator

Job Description

  • Work with production team members to help identify problems and make improvements.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
  • Work with customer service to ensure client quality requirements and expectations are fully met.
  • Inspect returned products and track defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Grade, classify, and sort defective products.

Required Experience

  • Must have 1-3 years of Quality Control experience in metal fabrication, welding and machining.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret gages such as, but not limited to calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 5 Why.
  • Must have experience with Excel.

Required Education

Associates Degree or a minimum of 3 years experience as a quality technician.

Job Description

  • Read work orders, production schedules, and prints to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of bend lines, orientation of part before bending, and dimensions and tolerances.
  • Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
  • Examine completed workpieces for defects such as cracked edges and marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
  • Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
  • Operate, Position, align, or secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.

  • Ensure all safety policies are being followed and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and ensure all PM are being completed.
  • Ensure that all quality control procedures are being followed and finished products meet customer expectations. Perform weekly process audit.
  • Ensure line is properly staged before part changeover. Verify operator is following proper production procedures. Ensure daily machine cycle time is met and determine reasons for deficiency. On time delivery to each department.
  • Ensure team member is properly trained to operate equipment. conduct progress reports on new employee's weekly. Write and deliver all performance reviews in a timely manner. Use proper employee counseling techniques. Provide additional training/coaching to employees not meeting machine cycle times.
  • Pursuit ways to reduce waste and continue to work towards reducing costs.
  • Involvement in recruiting new employees.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisor and Human Resources to resolve employee issues. Motivate and inspire to build relationships with team. Have in depth understanding of Triton Metal Products core values and VP's.

Job Description

               
  • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and gauges.
  • Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.

Job Description

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of 26,000 GVW, to transport and deliver products and materials.
  • Required to package products in preparation for delivery and to load an unload trucks.
  • Perform daily cehicle checks to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment and properly positioned.
