Full or Part-Time - CDL Driver

Job Description

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of 26,000 GVW, to transport and deliver products and materials.
  • Required to package products in preparation for delivery and to load an unload trucks.
  • Perform daily cehicle checks to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment and properly positioned.
  • Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
  • Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

Required Experience

    The R&D machinist is a critical role that supports the organization with the fabrication of jigs, fixtures, gauges and tooling.   • Examine completed workpieces for defects such as cracked edges and marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.

  • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and gages.
  • Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
  • Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.

Maintenance Tech

  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC and motor controls, and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
